Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani has welcomed the Turkish Parliament’s adoption of the Law on “Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Integration,” describing the move as an important turning point toward lasting peace, prosperity and stability in Türkiye and the wider region.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Kurdistan Region President said the new law represents a courageous step and a significant opportunity to strengthen trust, dialogue and peaceful coexistence among all communities in Türkiye.

“We have always believed that peace and dialogue are the best options, and that the era for arms and military solutions has come to an end,” Barzani said.

He called on all sides to support the initiative and contribute to efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace.

The Kurdistan Region President also expressed his gratitude and congratulations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as to all political leaders and parties who contributed to the adoption of the law.

Reaffirming the Kurdistan Region’s position, Barzani said that the Kurdistan Region continues to offer its full support to efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability and peaceful coexistence in Türkiye and across the region.
